Job Summary
Prepare test plans, define instrumentation packages, and complete field tests to define vehicle performance characteristics. Analyze technical data, communicate results through reports and briefings, and support FMEA analysis by suggesting design modifications. Work with mechanics and technicians to execute tests on time and budget while researching background data for assignments. Create and review CAD 3D models, prepare preliminary sketches, and contact personnel to explain procedural requirements or solve minor conflicts. This role supports vehicle development projects for technology demonstrators and requires a valid NV driver's license, ability to work over 40 hours weekly, and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field
- one (1) year of experience in a related engineering field
- Mechanical Engineer
- Able to work in excess of 40 hours per week
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid NV driver's license
- Must have fundamental systems level automotive knowledge
- Must possess strong computer skills; specifically MS Office applications
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Must have excellent organization and time management skills
- Must be flexible and able to handle multiple priorities, with the ability to adjust to high pressure and rapidly changing business conditions
Desired Qualifications
- Must be able to rapidly learn and apply new measurement techniques and associated data acquisition software
- Experience in a test environment
- Experience with Matlab
- Experience with CAD/CAE software
