Job Summary
Automotive Electronics Technician for 12-volt vehicle upfitting in Berlin, MD. Responsible for custom installations of emergency lighting, sirens, radios, partitions, and other vehicle components; wire and test electronic components; diagnose and repair equipment; document work; collaborate with technicians to meet deadlines; maintain tools and workspace; stay updated on upfitting technology. Requires high school diploma or GED, experience in vehicle upfitting/electronics preferred, strong wiring/diagnostic knowledge, ability to read schematics, attention to detail, teamwork, and valid driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school preferred
- Previous experience with vehicle upfitting, automotive electronics, or a similar field is strongly preferred
- Knowledge of vehicle electrical systems, wiring, and diagnostic procedures
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics
- Strong attention to detail, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
