Job Summary
V2X Professional Services is seeking a skilled Automotive Electrical Technician/Instructor responsible for diagnosing and repairing automotive electrical systems to OEM standards, mentoring new personnel, and maintaining repair equipment. Key responsibilities include providing on-site leadership, conducting repairs and installation of electrical systems, troubleshooting immobilizers and alarms, and guiding other technicians in understanding vehicle electrical systems. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical repair, advanced knowledge of vehicular electrical systems, and an associate's degree or equivalent in automotive technology or a related field.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an electrical repair technician
- Advanced knowledge of modern vehicular electrical systems
- Ability to work in confined vehicle spaces
- Complex problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work standing or in a crouched position for long periods
- Ability to distinguish subtle color variations
- Demonstrated knowledge of automotive systems from an advanced diagnostics perspective
- Ability to read and interpret a digital multimeter, OEM diagnostic scan tool and other automotive related diagnostic test equipment
- Ability to effectively conduct one-on-one and small group discussions
- Ability to interpret early engineering level electrical schematic diagrams
- Ability to work independently without supervision
- Valid Driver's License
Desired Qualifications
- ASE certifications
- Experience as a shop foreman or lead technician
- Automotive electrical schematic development experience
- Automotive Technical Assistance Center Experience
