Job Summary
Join Metro West as an Automotive Diesel Technician to diagnose and repair ambulances, ensuring safety and reliability through expert maintenance and up-to-date diesel technology skills.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED required
- 7 years as a Diesel Technician or Heavy Equipment Mechanic
- 1 year of Fleet Maintenance experience
- Strong understanding of diesel engine mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems
- Proficiency with diagnostic software (e.g., Cummins Insite, CAT ET)
- Valid Oregon driver’s license and insurability (CDL often a plus)
- Current ASE certifications (minimum 5 with 9 or Master ASE preferred)
- Able to lift heavy objects and perform strenuous tasks in various environments
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, attention to detail, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
