Job Summary
Supervise and coach detail shop employees while overseeing daily operations, scheduling, and shift coverage. Perform hands-on automotive detailing as needed to support workflow and ensure all vehicles meet dealership-ready quality standards before delivery. Maintain inventory of detailing products, chemicals, and equipment while monitoring and enforcing safety procedures and company policies. Collaborate with dealership managers to meet production goals and identify process improvements to increase shop efficiency and turnaround time. Weekend work is required, including Saturdays and Sundays as part of the regular schedule. Assist in training detailers on best practices and quality standards within a fast-paced dealership environment.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of professional automotive detailing experience (interior and exterior)
- Prior supervisory, lead, or assistant manager experience in a shop, dealership, or reconditioning environment
- Strong knowledge of detailing products, tools, and safety practices
- Weekend work is required
- Candidates must be available to work Saturdays and/or Sundays as part of the regular schedule
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and support a dealership workflow
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience as a Detail Shop Manager, Assistant Manager, or Lead Detailer
- Background in dealership operations or reconditioning services
- Ability to train and mentor detailers on best practices and quality standards
- Strong problem-solving and time management abilities
