Automotive Commercial Underwriter

Job Summary
Analyze the financial condition of dealerships via statements, tax returns, and ledgers to complete financial analysis for floorplan acquisitions and commercial lending. Recommend appropriate security and collateralization based on risk profiles, direct package decisioning to authority levels, and maintain UCC filings to ensure legal security matches credit packages. Communicate package details to stakeholders, obtain clarifications on loan structures, and conduct final documentation reviews and account maintenance prior to funding. Perform periodic audits and ad hoc duties while managing 10% travel and working between 8AM-6PM Monday through Friday with weekend availability as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years experience in automotive financial services
- Minimum 2 years automotive commercial underwriting experience
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance or related
- Excellent understanding of dealership entity legal ownership structure and clear, concise explanation of those structures
- Strong knowledge of cash flow analysis and pro forma forecasting and scaling
- Strong written and oral communication, problem-solving, critical thinking, teamwork, and time management abilities
- Good interpersonal and customer service skills
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must live within a commutable distance to Dallas, TX
- Must be able to work various shifts to accommodate business needs
- Must be able to work between the hours of 8AM-6PM Monday through Friday and on weekends as needed
- Must be able to travel 10% of the time
- Must possess authorization to work in the United States
Desired Qualifications
- Experience - Commercial risk management and/or commercial lending
- Extensive experience interacting with dealers preferred
- Skills - Knowledge of web-based tools such as DataScan, Docusign, Salesforce, credit reporting, OFAC, and customer due diligence products preferred
