Job Summary
Identify, order, and maintain supplies and parts to service fleet vehicles. Perform mechanical repairs including oil changes, tire rotations, and battery installations. Conduct inspections for tires, brakes, underbody damage, and suspension issues. Use hand tools, chemicals, and shop equipment while following standard operating procedures. Review work orders for accuracy and utilize internal technology systems for daily assignments. Keep the workplace hazard-free according to 5S standards and assist in onboarding new associates. Work within standardized cycle times with flexibility for days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Carry tools and supplies up to 75lbs in varying weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Acceptable driving record (per company standards)
- At least 18 years old
- Flexibility to workdays, evenings, weekends and/or holidays
- Willingness to work in varying weather conditions
- Ability to carry tools and supplies up to 75lbs
- Follow Flexcar standard operating procedures at all times
- Keep workplace free and clear of hazards, according to 5S standards
- Use of computers, including internal and external technology systems in order to complete daily assignments
- Assist in onboarding other new associates by passing along knowledge and being a good team player
- Provide support to other associates and managers as needed
- Perform all work within standardized cycle times
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years of automotive repair experience
