Job Summary
Repair damaged vehicle bodies and parts per factory specifications, de-trim, disassemble, and reassemble vehicles with attention to detail while meeting productivity standards. Source and maintain parts, ensure tools are in proper repair, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations regarding hazardous waste and safety. Collaborate with the team to deliver vehicles on time and adhere to manufacturer and dealership technical repair processes. This role involves extended periods of physical activity including bending, kneeling, lifting over 50lbs, and working in various weather conditions while wearing protective equipment. ASE and I-Car certifications are a plus, with previous automotive or military experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a minimum of eighteen years of age
- Must have a valid Driver's License
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screens (background & drug test)
- This position will require extended periods of bending, kneeling, standing, sitting and squatting
- This position will require lifting, carrying and pushing of materials (over 50lbs)
- Ability to withstand fumes/chemicals, changes in weather conditions (within reason)
- Must be able to wear protective equipment including respirator
- Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
- Strong attention to detail
- Positive attitude and fix it right the first time mentality
- Knowledge of manufacturers' repair processes & adherence to Asbury Automotive collision's technical repair processes
- Understand, keep abreast of and comply with federal, state and local regulations that affect body shop operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
Desired Qualifications
- ASE certification & I-Car certifications are a plus!
- Previous automotive technician or military equivalent experience preferred
