Job Summary
Repair and restore assigned vehicles to pre-accident condition by refinishing, priming, sanding, and buffing body parts in accordance with factory quality specifications. Mix paint per manufacturer specs, produce test panels for color matching, and apply surfaces using sprayers or brushes. Perform repairs without passing defects while utilizing required safety equipment and following proper procedures. Comply with federal, state, and local regulations regarding hazardous waste and OSHA standards. Maintain an organized work area and return tools to designated locations. Participate in ongoing I-CAR training to stay current on industry standards.
Required Qualifications
- Previous auto body painting experience
- Must be a minimum of eighteen years of age
- Must have a valid Driver's License
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screens (background & drug test)
- Must be able to wear protective equipment, including respirator
- Periodic lifting and carrying objects over 50 pounds is required
- Must understand and keep abreast of and comply with federal, state and local regulations that affect body shop operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
