Job Summary
Automotive Billing/Contracts Clerk responsible for processing and finalizing vehicle billing transactions, reviewing deal paperwork for completeness and compliance, submitting contracts to lenders with proper funding procedures, and maintaining accurate transaction records. Performs warranty and GAP cancellation handling, manages service-contract refunds, completes new-hire paperwork, reconciles schedules related to contracts and receivables, and communicates with finance managers, lenders, and customers. Ensures dealership policies and state regulations are followed and completes all training and corporate procedures. The role requires prior automotive dealership experience, strong attention to detail, multitasking ability, effective communication, and proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with dealership management systems is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- MUST have prior automotive dealership experience (billing, contracts or accounting office)
- Strong knowledge of dealership management systems (Dealer Track, CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, etc. preferred)
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with warranty and GAP cancellations
- Accounting or bookkeeping background
- Familiarity with DMV/title processing is a plus
