Job Summary
Conduct customer service by handling internal and external inquiries while sourcing, stocking, and providing timely vehicle components for repairs. Process parts and tire requests for Licensed Automotive Technicians, verify vehicle information, and quote pricing and availability. Order automotive parts and shop supplies from authorized suppliers, locate products in the warehouse, and maintain inventory accuracy. Perform technical tasks including testing and filling batteries, testing starters and alternators, and operating the battery filling station. Restock shelves, maintain housekeeping standards, and secure the warehouse area from unauthorized access.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated automotive subject matter knowledge and interest
- Basic math and typing skills
- Good working knowledge of automotive parts lookup system
- Ability to work under minimal supervision with computerized systems
- Strong orientation towards customer service excellence
- Strong belief in the Canadian Tire Values of honesty, integrity and respect
- Ability to serve customers in a professional manner and to inspire their confidence and trust

- Lifting and/or carrying of merchandise items, as required, on a regular, frequent and unassisted basis
- Lifting and turning repeatedly throughout the shift
- Lifting above the shoulder, from floor to shoulder and floor to waist
- Going up and down a ladder while carrying merchandise
- Walking and carrying things at the same time and pushing/pulling, as required
- Twisting, turning, reaching and working above shoulder level
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a similar role, in a Canadian Tire store or Auto Service Centre
- Certified in transportation of dangerous goods training
