Job Summary
The B Level Service Technician will perform general repairs and diagnosis on customer vehicles, including light engine work, transmissions, clutches, drive shafts, electrical systems, HVAC, steering and suspension, and will complete warranty-related repair orders. Responsibilities include using the multi-point inspection form, documenting all work, communicating with the service advisor for any additional repairs, maintaining technician proficiency per Asbury standards, conducting road tests when needed, performing preventive and routine maintenance, utilizing manufacturer training, participating in manufacturer-sponsored training, and maintaining CSI targets. The role emphasizes completing work to specification, safe handling of vehicles and property, and staying compliant with applicable regulations; strong technical and mechanical skills and a team-player attitude are required.
Required Qualifications
- Previous automotive technician experience required
- ASE certifications heavily preferred
- Manufacturer certifications heavily preferred
- Must have basic tools
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background & drug test)
- Must be at least eighteen years of age
