Automotive/Auto Collision Lab Assistant

Job Summary
Assist the professional faculty member in the classroom, laboratory, computer lab, or shop as directed, providing supplemental lab instruction to automotive/auto collision students. Support students with materials already covered by the instructor, including exam preparation, and grade papers, exercises, and tests using predetermined objective criteria. Prepare consumable materials for classroom and shop exercises, maintain an inventory of supplies and equipment, and perform routine maintenance and repair on laboratory equipment. Monitor instructional areas for safety conditions and operate motor vehicles for the purpose of conducting TSTC business.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- One year of successful related work experience
- Considerable knowledge of and skill in performing laboratory procedures
- Ability to work effectively with others
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Operate motor vehicles for purpose of conducting TSTC business
- Complete the federal Employment Eligibility Verification I-9 form
- Present acceptable and original documents to prove identity and authorization to work in the United States
- Pass a criminal history background check
Desired Qualifications
- Associates degree in related field from an accredited college
