Job Summary
Automotive Assistant Manager: Lead from the front with daily game planning, ensure safe, clean, efficient shop operations; greet customers, build estimates, explain work clearly, close sales; bridge between techs and customers by translating inspections into trusted recommendations; develop the team through coaching; run the business with inventory management, cash handling/POS, scheduling, KPI tracking, and OSHA/EHS compliance; cover Store Manager when out while modeling elite standards on every shift. The role requires 1–3 years of automotive service management or retail repair leadership, a strong service-sales background (tires/brakes/maintenance/mechanical), proven team leadership in a high-volume environment, excellent communication, a valid driver’s license, and open weekend availability; Tire World is an Equal Opportunity Employer with growth toward Store Manager or Multi-Unit leadership.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in automotive service management or retail repair leadership
- strong background in service sales (tires, brakes, maintenance, or mechanical)
- proven ability to lead a team in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- valid driver’s license and ability to lift 70 lbs
- open availability, including weekends
- ability to coach advisors and techs, manage inventory and scheduling, and ensure KPI tracking and OSHA/EHS compliance
