Job Summary

Automotive Assistant Manager leads from the front to open/close the shop, set the daily game plan, keep the shop safe, clean, and efficient, and owns the guest experience by greeting customers, building estimates, explaining work clearly, and closing sales. The role bridges techs and customers by translating inspections into trusted recommendations, and it includes developing the team (coaching advisors and techs), running the business (inventory & ordering, cash handling/POS, scheduling, KPI tracking, compliance), and covering the Store Manager when needed. The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of automotive service management or retail repair leadership, a strong service-sales background (tires, brakes, maintenance, or mechanical), the ability to lead in a high-volume environment, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, a valid driver’s license, and openness to working weekends. ASE reimbursement is provided; company promotes an equal opportunity workplace.

Required Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in automotive service management or retail repair leadership
  • Strong background in service sales (tires, brakes, maintenance, or mechanical)
  • Proven ability to lead a team in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Valid driver’s license + ability to lift 70 lbs
  • Open availability, including weekends
