Assembler I roles involve sub-assembling various parts for truck bodies, reading and understanding blueprints, and using hand and power tools to complete assembly tasks. Responsibilities include lifting parts up to 35 pounds, operating a crane/hoist, drilling, sanding, grinding, buffing, gluing, taping, filing, screwing, and clamping parts, applying measurements for proper alignment, reading and interpreting blueprints, following written and verbal instructions, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and cooperating with co-workers. Requires following safety protocols, completing tasks as directed, and potentially working overtime. Shift structure includes 1st shift (four 10-hour days) and 2nd shift (four 10-hour days) with overtime on Fridays and Saturdays. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and attention to detail in a manufacturing setting.
