Job Summary
Automotive Apprentice Technician needed for the evening shift to perform standardized vehicle inspections, diagnose mechanical and safety issues, provide repair recommendations, and complete routine maintenance and minor repairs. Role involves documenting repairs and inspection findings, adhering to mechanical and safety standards, and collaborating with reconditioning staff and management. Requires experience with multiple vehicle brands, strong attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to work in a shop environment. Signing bonus of $1,500 after 3-month probation; on-site Mississauga, Ontario location; full-time evenings (4:30 PM – 3:00 AM) with potential overtime.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of automotive technician experience, including mechanical diagnostics and repair
- Experience working with a variety of vehicle brands (domestic, import, and European)
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and adapt to changing demands in a busy environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Comfortable using technology (Google Drive, Slack, inspection documentation tools)
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract
- Able to commit to a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, including overtime based on business needs
