Job Summary
Experienced Automotive Apprentice responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing customer vehicles, collaborating with a Master Technician, test driving to diagnose issues, coordinating with the service team on additional work, sourcing parts from the parts department, and maintaining a clean, safe shop while adhering to company policies. Requires completion of high school or equivalent, 1-2 years of car dealership experience, strong tools/diagnostic software knowledge, ability to read technical drawings, excellent communication, valid G license, and the ability to lift 50+ lbs. Open availability and teamwork are emphasized; manual vehicle capability is advantageous.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of High School Diploma or equivalency
- Registered Automotive Apprentice with at least 1-2 years of car dealership experience
- Strong knowledge of automotive repair tools, software and techniques
- Strong computer skills and the ability to use diagnostic software
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and/or instructions
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Excellent communication skills - written, verbal and interpersonal
- Ability to work independently and a part of a team
- Valid G Driver’s License and a Clean Abstract
- Ability to drive manual vehicles is an asset
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs at a time
