Automobile Senior Underwriter / Underwriter (Montreal)

Automobile Senior Underwriter / Underwriter in Montreal responsible for analyzing and underwriting new and renewal automobile business, managing a portfolio of medium to large complex auto risks, and expanding the book of business. Will leverage broker networks, apply The Zurich Way of Underwriting, and interact with brokers, customers, and internal stakeholders. Will conduct detailed opportunity assessments, negotiate terms and conditions, cross-sell lines of business, and travel as needed. Requires high school diploma or equivalent (or Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with an Associate Degree) with 3+ years underwriting experience (or related areas), bilingual in French and English, and a valid driver’s license. Must adapt to a hybrid work model with three days in-person per week, and participate in system updates and account management activities.
