Automation, Tooling, & Analytics Lead

Job Summary

Own the strategic roadmap for automation, ITSM tooling, and reporting/analytics capabilities supporting enterprise infrastructure operations. Lead and mentor a team of automation engineers, ITSM platform administrators, and reporting/analytics specialists while serving as the platform owner for the ITSM tool of record. Drive adoption of infrastructure-as-code and event-driven automation to reduce manual toil across server, cloud, storage, database, and monitoring functions. Define and oversee delivery of executive and operational dashboards that surface infrastructure health, SLA/OLA performance, and modernization progress to program and government leadership. Partner with functional leads to identify automation opportunities and establish governance for tooling aligned to NIST SP 800-53 and FedRAMP requirements. Track FinOps metrics and support proposal development for the automation function.

Required Qualifications

  • Public Trust clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum of 8 years of IT experience, including 3+ years leading automation, ITSM tooling, or data/reporting teams
  • Demonstrated experience implementing infrastructure-as-code and automation frameworks (Terraform, Ansible, or similar) at enterprise scale
  • Hands-on or administrative-level experience with a major ITSM platform (ServiceNow strongly preferred), including workflow, CMDB, and reporting configuration
  • Experience delivering business intelligence/reporting solutions using Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent tools against operational or service management data
  • Strong understanding of ITIL 4 practices and federal IT change/configuration management processes
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience briefing program and government leadership
  • Ability to obtain Public Trust

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working in a federal government IT environment
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and/or ITIL 4 Foundation certification
  • Experience governing AI-assisted or agentic automation capabilities within an ITSM platform
  • Familiarity with FinOps practices and cloud cost management/reporting
  • Experience supporting a federal civilian financial or capital-access/loan-servicing IT program
