Job Summary
Senior Automation Test Engineer responsible for leading design and execution of automated tests, developing test scripts and plans, and mentoring developers to grow as solutions architects. Key duties include translating customer IT needs into design specifications and SOWs, creating and updating automated test cases, and integrating testing within CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins) while working in Linux environments. The role supports intelligence-community projects, cloud migration, modernization of legacy systems, and requires TS/SCI with polygraph clearance. Nice-to-have capabilities include Java, Selenium/TestNG, load/performance testing (JMeter), API/UI/backend testing, cloud-based architectures, Agile releases, and strong analytical/problem-solving skills. Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT is preferred; security certifications (Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC) expected within 6 months of hire. The compensation range is $99,000 to $225,000 annually. Remote work may be listed as part of the work model, with occasional in-person requirements at Booz Allen facilities or client sites depending on assignment.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience testing or developing software applications
- Experience designing and executing test scripts, test plans, and procedures and documenting results
- Experience creating and updating automated test cases and scripts
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins
- Experience with test methodologies, software release cycle, test effort estimation, and tracking
- Experience in Linux environments
- Ability to obtain Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification within 6 months of hire date
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or IT field
- TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required
