Job Summary
Automation Test Engineer (Mid-Level) in Cairo for a client launching an automation-first QA practice. Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and suites; execute automated UI, API, integration, and end-to-end tests; collaborate with developers, PMs, and QA; identify and track defects; improve testing processes and automation coverage; support transition from manual to automated testing; leverage AI-assisted testing tools and modern QA technologies.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of software testing experience
- Strong hands-on experience with automation testing tools such as Selenium and Cypress
- Experience with test automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience across multiple testing types, including UI, E2E, API, component and integration testing
- Experience working in Agile environments
- English: Professional working proficiency (Mandatory)
- Jira or similar test management tools
- Git / Version Control
- Programming Languages: Java, Python, JavaScript / TypeScript
- CI/CD & DevOps Knowledge: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps
- Experience using AI productivity tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Codex
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, Attention to detail, Ability to work independently, Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Nice to Have: Cloud Platforms Experience
- German language skills
