Job Summary
Maintain material handling automation equipment and execute projects involving structures, conveyors, and controls at the Innovation Center in Bolingbrook, IL. Facilitate customer product tests, conduct tours, and ensure the facility remains presentable. Collaborate with development teams to implement industry-leading automated systems, delivering subsystems on time and within budget. Manage project resources, maintain complete records including change logs and risk monitoring, and provide verbal and written updates on deliverables and issues. Travel up to 20% to assist at various North America jobsites. Adhere to Daifuku standards for documentation and software development while following all safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or technical certification in Mechanical Engineering (Technology), Electrical Engineering (Technology), Mechatronics, or related experience
- Minimum 2 years in a mechatronics technician role
- Knowledge of material handling
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Knowledge of fulfillment or distribution center operations
- Knowledge of supply chain logistics
- Knowledge of automation projects involving machines, robotics, controls, and software
- Knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC)
- Knowledge of business accounting and contracts
- Microsoft Office skills
- Microsoft Project skills
- Ability to handle multiple project assignments and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced results-oriented environment
