Job Summary
Maintain and repair an automated material handling system, performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure continuous operation. Responsibilities include diagnosing faults from schematic and wiring diagrams, repairing mechanical and electro-mechanical components (belts, chains, rollers, drive motors, sensors, proximately, robot end-effectors), and replacing components as needed. Document repairs and PMs via work orders in Maximo, and communicate problems and estimated repair times to management. Work on autonomous robots and conveyors across multiple warehouse environments, with a 3rd-shift schedule and no travel requirements. Requires ability to use basic hand tools and electrical measuring equipment, and to work independently following procedures and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years experience in an electro-mechanical field or equivalent education
- KPI-focused: KPIs, Safety & Sanitation, Technical Certification
- Proficient with preventive maintenance on automated conveyor equipment and multi-axis robots
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams
- Ability to document repairs and maintain work orders in a computerized maintenance data collection system (Maximo)
- Safety, regulatory compliance, and quality standards
- Experience with electrical and mechanical repair of conveyors, sensors, motors, and control systems
- Ability to work independently and follow procedures with a sense of urgency
- Physical ability to perform inspections and repairs in a warehouse environment
