Job Summary
Automation Technical Specialist in Abbott’s global healthcare environment focusing on automation hardware solutions for large core clinical laboratories. Lead on-site implementation including receiving shipments, transporting to the lab, assembling and testing the automation solution, and turning over to informatics implementation; coordinate with sales, lab managers, project managers, and vendors; serve as SME for automation hardware launches and train local field service teams; ensure quality-system effectiveness and post-implementation support; travel up to 100% as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- minimum 2-5 years of formal instrument and/or automation field service experience
- prefer living in Eastern or Central US
- knowledge of general automation systems, instruments, or product field service experience
- excellent communication, organization, project management, and consulting knowledge
