Job Summary
Design, specify, validate, and troubleshoot electronic control systems including PLC logic, HMIs, electrical drives, and instrumentation. Configure Allen-Bradley PLCs, install variable frequency drives, and read electrical schematics to maintain production equipment. Perform preventive maintenance on packaging systems, slicers, printers, and date coders while calibrating scales and inspecting lighting connections. Respond to breakdown calls, document work orders in SAP, and manage electrical inventory. Report to the Maintenance Supervisor and participate in shift handoff meetings. Work the 2nd shift in Council Bluffs, IA, with wages starting at $30.85 per hour plus a $1.00 shift differential.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of electrical and/or mechanical maintenance experience
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals
- Ability to use electrical diagnostic equipment, digital multimeters, and calibration software
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and extended hours as business needs require
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and reach with hands and arms
- Work in both office and plant environment
- Exposure to humidity, cold temperatures, moving mechanical parts, and moderate to high noise levels
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in electrical/automation engineering, or related field preferred
- Certification in instrumentation and automation controls preferred
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong planning and prioritization skills
- Safety-minded with attention to detail
- Ability to train and mentor team members
