Job Summary
Design, develop, and support manufacturing control systems to ensure continuity of laboratory operations. Program, test, and validate process automation systems while managing upgrades through changes control procedures. Troubleshoot field control system issues and execute capital projects including hardware design, network design, and MES implementation. Develop user requirement specifications, SOPs, and training materials for automation systems. Configure PLCs, DCSs, and integrate field devices to establish technical solutions. This entry-level role includes on-the-job training in process automation fundamentals and requires a BS degree in Engineering with 0-2 years of experience.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years of experience
- minimum BS Degree in Engineering (Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Chemical, etc.)
- 0 to 7 months experience in process industry
- Understanding of chemical and/or biological processing and process control fundamentals
- Understanding of troubleshooting methods and problem-solving techniques
- Experience in Control Systems (Emerson DeltaV, Allen Bradley, Foxboro, Siemens, Honeywell)
- Experience with SCADA, MES, and database systems
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with computer system validation
- Experience in a regulated environment (GxP)
