Job Summary
Automation Support Engineer role within Celestica's Global Automation team focusing on automation equipment manufacturing. The role emphasizes coordinating planning and tracking of automation projects using Excel/Smartsheet, performing data analysis, generating status updates and executive decks, maintaining vendor/tracking documentation, and supporting projects through the full life cycle (URS, FAT/SAT). Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with robotics, PLCs, vision systems, automation tooling, ERP/SAP, data analysis, reporting, and collaboration across global sites; strong English communication and teamwork are required. Based in Monterrey, Mexico with occasional travel; Bachelor degree or equivalent experience sought; 2+ years of relevant experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering or related field
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
- Experience with data analysis, Excel/Smartsheet
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Professional written and verbal communication in English
- Ability to work in fast-changing, dynamic environments
- Occasional travel may be required
