Job Summary
Design, install, maintain, and optimize automated systems controlling oil and gas production, refining, and distribution processes using PLCs, DCS, and SCADA technologies. Motivate the automation team to achieve efficiency goals while establishing a safe environment for working near energized equipment and in hazardous conditions. Diagnose complex technical issues, interpret engineering plans, and manage project scopes, budgets, and schedules to ensure profitability and specification compliance. Oversee recruitment, training, and performance evaluations, collaborating with contractors and stakeholders to resolve project issues. Formulate strategies for future automation developments and review divisional financial performance monthly. Work flexible M-Sat schedules with some weekend and holiday coverage.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Industrial Technology, Electrical/Electronic Technology, or related field
- One year's experience in PLC and HMI programming, testing, and field start-up
- Extensive knowledge of automation technologies, control systems, and industry standards
- Valid Driver's License or equivalent
- Must be able to present acceptable documents evidencing identity and employment authorizations per the Federal I-9 requirement
- Safety-minded and compliant with safety regulations
- Must be flexible
- Some weekends/holidays are required
