Job Summary
Design control system details, startup, commissioning, instrumentation configuration, and documentation while developing PLC programs in Ladder, Function Block, and other languages. Create BOMs, IO lists, and requirements for control panels; build PLC and HMI templates; develop hardware and software test plans with simulation logic. Troubleshoot startup issues caused by incorrect drawings, specification changes, or interface problems; diagnose and resolve software and hardware failures. Mentor less experienced employees and train operations and maintenance personnel on client-specific system integration software. Collaborates with project managers to assess proposals and communicates with customers to define control system functionality. Responds to service calls to repair programming and system failures. High travel early on for project in Haskell, TX.
Required Qualifications
- 4 years of experience in architectural, engineering or construction (AEC) industry or similar field
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- 4 years of experience in any PLC programming
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- High travel early on for project in Haskell, TX
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in architectural, engineering or construction (AEC) industry or similar field
- Experience in HVAC - Centrifical and Air Cooled Chillers, Air Handler Units, VAVs
- Experience with ModBUS/BacNET Communication setup and troubleshooting
- Rockwell PLCS
- Ignition SCADA
