Job Summary
Develop and test new automation and smart-machine technologies using AI, machine vision, and predictive maintenance solutions. Create diagnostics, condition monitoring, and operator guidance systems while working hands-on with PLCs, HMIs, drives, and industrial equipment. Support prototypes, testing, commissioning, and customer startups to turn recurring field problems into improved controls and machine designs. Help define future RBS standards for Industrial IoT, machine connectivity, OPC UA, MQTT, and edge devices. This role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering or related field with strong industrial controls experience and is based in Robesonia, PA with 25–30% travel.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Controls, Automation, Mechatronics, or related field
- Strong industrial controls and machine-troubleshooting experience
- PLC experience with Rockwell / Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens
- Experience commissioning or improving industrial machinery
- Curious, hands-on engineer who enjoys taking ideas from concept to prototype to production
Desired Qualifications
- Bonus experience: Python, machine vision, AI/ML, predictive maintenance, condition monitoring, Industrial IoT (IIoT), OPC UA, MQTT, edge computing, robotics, motion control, or OEM equipment
