Automation QA Engineer

Job Summary
Collaborate with stakeholders and the technology team to ensure the timely and high-quality release of data-intensive applications. Work with product and business teams to build and maintain detailed test plans with comprehensive data-focused test scenarios. Conduct story-level, regression, performance, and security testing to support platform releases. Validate and verify data quality, accuracy, and integrity across datasets, ensuring consistency in production environments. Manage test automation execution and help resolve or escalate issues affecting test outcomes. Contribute to improving test automation for data validation and advocate for data QA best practices to enhance efficiency. This role requires 3-5 years of experience with Python or shell scripting and advanced SQL skills. The position is hybrid in Sofia, Bulgaria, with a performance bonus and health benefits.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience as a Data QA Engineer
- demonstrating a mastery of data validation and quality assurance
- Experience with scripting (Python or shell) for data validation automation
- Advanced SQL skills
- ability to write, analyze, and troubleshoot complex queries on SQL-based databases
- Strong experience with data testing methodologies and practices
- experience working with large datasets
- ensuring data consistency
- Familiarity with test automation tools for data testing
- experience using project management/ticketing systems like JIRA
- Collaborative and communicative

- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in Bulgaria without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future
- Hybrid Office Model: 3 days per week (Monday - Wednesday) in office in Sofia, 2 days remote
- Working Hours: 3 days per week 11:00am – 8:00pm, 2 days 9:00am – 6:00pm EEST
