Job Summary
Automation Project Manager to lead planning, coordination, and execution of automation and digital manufacturing initiatives in a pharmaceutical environment. Responsibilities include developing project schedules and resource plans, coordinating across Automation, Engineering, IT, Manufacturing, and Validation teams, facilitating meetings, managing risks and issues, supporting implementation of automation systems (PLC, SCADA, DCS, integrated platforms), coordinating vendor and system integrator activities, ensuring GMP compliance and quality standards, and delivering project documentation and closeout support. Requires 10+ years in automation/engineering project management, experience in pharma/biotech manufacturing, knowledge of GMP environments, experience with industrial automation platforms (Rockwell, Siemens, DeltaV or similar), strong leadership and stakeholder management, PMP preferred, and willingness for extended hours including weekends/holidays. Location is onsite with potential extended hours, with an equal opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in automation or engineering project management
- Experience supporting pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing projects
- Knowledge of GMP-regulated environments
- Experience with Rockwell, Siemens, DeltaV, or similar automation platforms
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
- PMP certification preferred
- Available to work extended hours, possibility of weekends and holidays
