Automation Project Manager

Job Summary
Lead automation project planning, execution, and delivery in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment; develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, and resource plans; coordinate activities across Automation, Engineering, IT, Manufacturing, and Validation teams; facilitate project meetings and maintain clear communication with stakeholders; manage project risks, issues, and mitigation strategies; support implementation of automation systems including PLC, SCADA, DCS, and integrated manufacturing platforms; coordinate vendor and system integrator activities as needed; ensure project activities comply with GMP requirements and internal quality standards; provide project status updates and reporting to program leadership; deliverables include project plans and schedules, risk and issue logs, project status reports, coordination of automation system implementation activities, and support for commissioning, qualification, and validation readiness.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in automation or engineering project management
- Experience supporting pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing projects
- Knowledge of GMP-regulated environments
- Experience with industrial automation platforms such as Rockwell, Siemens, DeltaV, or similar
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
- PMP certification preferred
- Available to work extended hours, possibility of weekends and holidays
