Job Summary
Execute planned maintenance on grinders, loaders, conveyors, robotics, and assembly machines using the paper PM system and Cell Monitoring electronic system. Perform equipment changeovers and setup for multiple product lines while troubleshooting mechanical systems and diagnosing trouble areas with knowledge of safety and overload circuits. Maintain comprehensive PM records, control material storage and labeling per MSDS, and ensure a safe, orderly GMP environment through general housekeeping duties. Requires vocational school certificate or equivalent experience and competency with hand tools and fabrication machinery.
Required Qualifications
- Vocational school certificate or equivalent experience
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical systems in automated equipment
- Competency using hand tools
- Competency using fabrication machinery
- Basic knowledge of safety circuits
- Basic knowledge of overload circuits
- Basic mechanical understanding of grinders, loaders, and automation equipment
- Basic knowledge of fabrication with Lexan, metals and alloys
- Ability to learn the utilization of sheers and breaks used in the forming of metal and fastening techniques including screws, threaded inserts
- Ability to follow instruction both verbal and written for equipment changeover for several product lines
- Repair and basic trouble shooting skills
- Ability to learn the operation, setup and planned maintenance of grinders, material loaders, conveyors, robotics, cameras, lining machines, and assembly machines
- Ability to learn the basic setup of robotics, automation cells, lining machines, assembly machines and standalone automation equipment
- Ability to maintain a safe and orderly GMP work environment
- Ability to keep walkways and aisles clear
- Ability to perform general housekeeping duties such as sweeping and trash removal
- Ability to control storage and labeling of materials covered by the MSDA book
- Ability to follow scheduled maintenance and be flexible in its completion in line with the scheduling of production runs
- Ability to maintain clear comprehensive PM records as needed by following Proper Documentation Practices
- Ability to perform planned maintenance on a scheduled basis
- Ability to setup and change over automation in cells or standalone
- Ability to support all safety initiatives
- Ability to maintain department MSDS system
- Ability to utilize a variety of equipment such as hand held, panel saw, lathes and assorted grinders
