Job Summary
Automation/Manual Tester responsible for planning, executing, and automating test activities across APIs, integrations, and data pipelines in a federal healthcare environment. Responsibilities include manual testing (functional, regression, smoke, and integration), creating/executing test cases, validating API responses and data accuracy, defect logging and retesting; test automation (develop/maintain automated test scripts for APIs and applications), integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, and maintaining reusable automation components. Requires extensive hands-on experience with Python-based test automation frameworks, experience integrating AI tools into QA workflows for test generation/automation acceleration, proficiency with VS Code and related tooling, familiarity with AI-assisted IDE capabilities, testing APIs, microservices, and cloud-native apps, knowledge of CI/CD tools, mentoring teammates on AI-enabled testing practices, and experience with test reporting/quality metrics and building dashboards. API & Data Testing duties include validating API gateway integrations (MuleSoft or similar), payload/data mappings, real-time data movement, and event-driven/batch data processes. QA & Compliance duties cover CMS quality/security/compliance standards, supporting UAT, audit documentation, and validation of logging/monitoring/access controls. Collaboration/Reporting involves working with developers, BAs, and Scrum teams, participating in Agile ceremonies, and documenting test plans/cases/results. Education requirement includes Public Trust clearance eligibility and US residency in the last five years. Location notes indicate remote-working options with Columbia, MD, USA sites. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in manual and automation testing
- Experience testing APIs and integration-heavy applications
- Familiarity with automation tools such as Selenium, REST Assured, Postman, Karate, or Cypress
- Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies
- Candidate must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance and must have lived in the United States for at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years.
