Job Summary
The Automation Maintenance Technician II will repair and calibrate Symbotic’s automated and robotic systems, including Automated Adapters, Vertical Lifts, and robotic vehicles. Key responsibilities include performing inspections, troubleshooting vehicle anomalies, and ensuring continuous operations. Candidates should have 3 years of experience in mechanical automation systems, relevant education, and proficiency in advanced troubleshooting and PLC knowledge. This role requires ability to work in dynamic environments, manage system inspections and maintenance documentation, and maintain safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of experience with mechanical automation systems or educational/training equivalent
- Associate degree and/or certification in electronics, automotive, automation, manufacturing or equivalent work experience preferred
- Proficient in performing all Inspection functions
- Ability to work independently of supervisor following procedures and manuals.
- Must be capable of working in temperatures ranging from 105° to 32° Fahrenheit.
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced troubleshooting skills
- Ability to follow electro-mechanical diagrams
- Experience with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller)
Additional Requirements
- Must comply with all safety requirements and protocols, including Lock out tag out safety protocols and fall protection safety protocols.
- Must be capable of lifting items weighing up to 50lbs and moving items weighing up to 80lbs.
