Job Summary
Perform routine inspection, preventive maintenance, and calibration of automated fulfillment equipment and robotics while troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and PLC-controlled issues to minimize downtime. Follow Lockout/Tagout and electrical safety procedures during all servicing, and support installation, testing, and commissioning of new automated systems and upgrades. Document maintenance activities, equipment performance, and downtime incidents using the CMMS in line with SOPs, and track spare parts usage to support availability. Partner with Automation Specialists and engineers to escalate complex issues and assist with staff training on proper system use and basic troubleshooting. Monitor equipment KPIs such as uptime and error rates to flag trends to management. Work on-site during 6:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. shifts on the production floor, with potential on-call coverage as the business expands.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree or technical/vocational certification in automation, electronics, mechatronics, industrial maintenance, or related field
- 1-3 years of experience maintaining or troubleshooting automated production or material handling equipment
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical troubleshooting principles
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices
- Knowledge of basic automation and production workflow concepts
- Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and electrical safety practices
- Attention to detail and documentation skills, including CMMS use
- Ability to follow SOPs and safety protocols
- Communication and collaboration skills with technicians, specialists, and engineers
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high-growth environments
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and move around production equipment for extended periods
- Must be able to lift and move equipment components as needed (up to 50 lbs.)
- Must be able to work safely near moving machinery and follow all required PPE protocols
- Must be able to work on a computer to document maintenance activities

Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field
- Automation, electrical, or PLC-related technical certification (e.g., Allen-Bradley/Rockwell, Siemens, journeyman electrician license, or NIMS industrial maintenance certification)
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
- Experience with PLCs, robotics, or industrial control systems
- Experience in healthcare, pharmacy, medical device, or regulated manufacturing environments
