Job Summary
Research, analyze, and evaluate requirements for Control & Instrumentation systems. Design, develop, test, commission, and maintain these systems while reviewing outsourced work. Apply extensive knowledge of PLC programming, SCADA, HMI design, and industrial networking protocols including MODBUS and Profibus. Utilize expertise with major brands like Schneider, Allen Bradley, and Siemens for system configuration and commissioning. Demonstrate intermediate telemetry skills and basic understanding of electrical system design, MCCs, and AutoCAD Electrical tools. Requires a National Diploma in Electrical Engineering with one year of experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Matric (Grade 12)
- National Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Electronics or Instrumentation)
- 1 Year (Advantage)
- Extensive Knowledge of PLC Programming skills, SCADA & HMI design, configuration, and implementation
- Extensive knowledge of Control and Instrumentation Design
- Extensive knowledge of Commissioning of Control and Instrumentation Systems
- Extensive knowledge of popular PLC, SCADA, HMI and electrical products (Schneider, Allen Bradley, Siemens, ABB, Adroit, Aveva.)
- Extensive knowledge of Industrial Networking design and configuration (Ethernet, MODBUS, Fibre optic, Profibus, Devicenet, etc.)
- Intermediate knowledge of Telemetry systems
- Advanced Computer Literacy
- Basic knowledge of Electrical systems Design, especially MCC'
- Basic knowledge of Computer Aided Design Systems and Tools (AutoCAD Electrical)
- Basic knowledge of Soft Starters and Drives setup and commissioning
