Job Summary
Automation Engineer responsible for designing, validating, and implementing automation, data collection, and process-control systems across production facilities; drive system integration, retrofit projects, and equipment installation/modification to improve safety, quality, cost, and cycle time. Develop and sustain policies for technical work, collaborate with internal/external designers and manufacturers, and apply standards for certification compliance. Engage with internal/external customers to qualify process changes and deliver technical services, while contributing to new equipment development for future production systems. Proficient in PLC hardware/programming, CAD, electrical/mechanical/industrial engineering concepts, and a hands-on approach to troubleshooting and system-level visualization with the ability to drill down to detailed implementations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Associates degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science or closely related field
- Several years of automation engineering experience in an industrial environment
- Knowledge of industrial controls and electrical (AC and DC power)
- Knowledge of Systems, including PLC hardware and programming
- CAD software experience
- Demonstrated results in technical problem solving, product/process development, and supporting
