Automation Engineer

Conduct purchasing, design, and generation of cost-saving automation opportunities while presenting findings to management. Maintain and improve existing automation machines, generate specifications, and approve designs for new equipment. Coordinate activities with outside suppliers, manage construction schedules, and oversee procurement of purchase orders. Assist in production start-ups and troubleshoot new or existing automation machines. Oversee continual improvement efforts across the division and support other divisions on automation projects. Use a handheld propane torch on the production floor.
