Job Summary
Automation Engineer to join an automation and control team on yacht projects. Role involves programming, troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning of electrical and control systems on refit and new-build yachts. Requires a degree in Electrical, Electronic, Automation Engineering, or similar, and around 2–5 years of experience in industrial automation or PLC programming. Must be able to read electrical schematics and have knowledge of Modbus, CAN, J1939, NMEA, Ethernet, or ADS; nice-to-have skills include TwinCAT or Codesys, IEC 61131-3, Git/GitHub, and marine sector experience. The work centers on onboard systems rather than factory floors, with opportunities from development through commissioning within a small team having real impact.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Automation Engineering, or similar
- Around 2–5 years of experience in industrial automation or PLC programming

- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, CAN, J1939, NMEA, Ethernet, or ADS
