Job Summary

Assure operational readiness for deployment of Automation Solutions and provide solutions for visual factory installs based on customer feedback. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address data-driven challenges, working with automation systems to extract and analyze machine performance data for optimal utilization. Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor key manufacturing performance indicators such as cycle time, throughput, downtime, and overall equipment effectiveness. Document Automation solutions for training and stay current with Industry 4.0 technologies. This onsite role at Pratt & Whitney supports controls engineers in deploying automation functionality into manufacturing environments, requiring a Bachelor's degree in engineering and 5+ years of relevant experience.

Required Qualifications

  • U.S. citizenship
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering technical field
  • 5 years prior relevant experience
  • Advanced Engineering degree
  • 5+ Years of related experience
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools
  • Knowledge of manufacturing systems such as MES, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing business requirements
  • Ability to understand lean manufacturing principles
  • Exceptional interpersonal, team and communication skills
  • Onsite work location

Desired Qualifications

  • Proven experience in machine automation within a manufacturing environment
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and process optimization
  • Ability to work and effectively communicate with all levels of management, shop personnel and customers
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles
  • Knowledge of Industry 4.0 technologies, including IoT, AI, and machine learning for manufacturing applications
  • Hands-on experience with manufacturing-specific data sources, such as sensor data, production logs, and quality control metrics
  • Understanding of aerospace and defense manufacturing processes
  • Experience with SQL, Power BI, Ignition & Python
