Job Summary
Design and support PLC-based automation control systems for Long Products including motion control, advanced sensors, VFD drives, and actuators. Lead Level 1 control system development based on company standards, function descriptions, mechanical and hydraulic layouts, and process knowledge. Perform on-site commissioning and training; interface with project teams, customers, and suppliers to provide engineering solutions and resolve technical issues; lead integrated testing and simulation before delivery to end customer.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Willing to travel internationally (Italy) for training and domestically to support the project work
- 0-5 years’ experience in an engineering role in metals or a similar industry
- Interest in Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) a plus
