Job Summary
Support automation and controls systems within a regulated (GMP) operating environment by applying an engineering background to automation and controls activities. Manage multiple priorities based on business needs while utilizing a logical, systematic approach to problem solving. Perform data analysis using Excel and alarm management/reporting tools such as Logmate, and execute computer systems validation in regulated operations. The role requires availability to work or provide support to a 24/7 operation. Candidates should possess strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, with preferred experience in DeltaV, Rockwell Automation PLC/HMI, and instrumentation.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Engineering (Electrical, Chemical, Computer, Mechanical, or Industrial)
- 1–4 years of experience with demonstrated learning agility, or 5–10 years of proven experience in a similar automation/controls position
- Computer systems validation experience in regulated (GMP) operations
- Strong data analysis skills (Excel and alarm management/reporting tools such as Logmate)
- Logical, systematic approach to problem solving, with the ability to manage multiple priorities based on business needs
- Strong communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Available to work or provide support to a 24/7 operation
Desired Qualifications
- Experience and knowledge of DeltaV, Rockwell Automation PLC/HMI, and instrumentation (smart and conventional)
- Prior experience with alarm management or rationalization studies (e.g., ISA-18.2 / EEMUA 191 principles)
- Experience managing change controls within an electronic quality system (Veeva Vault or equivalent)
