Job Summary
Senior Automation Engineer responsible for leading development and field implementation of control systems across large, complex projects in life sciences and food/beverage sectors. Focus areas include advanced hardware, networked control systems, regulatory compliance, and Safety Instrumented Systems. Responsibilities include client and partner interfaces, directing work and budgeting, supporting proposals and scheduling, conducting field surveys and site walks, leading construction activities (RFI responses, submittals, punch lists), quality verification of design and documentation, and mentoring junior engineers. Skills emphasized include discipline design and engineering training, construction drawing packages and specifications, AutoCAD/Revit proficiency, GMP environments, instrumentation and controls engineering calculations, P&IDs, electrical/code knowledge, and cross-discipline team coordination.
Required Qualifications
- ABET-accredited Bachelor’s degree in discipline-specific field of study (ChemE, ME or EE)
- Minimum of 15 years of experience
- Knowledge of Control System Application software development methodologies
