Job Summary
Design and test automation and controls systems, including PLC logic programming, simulation, and startup assistance. Manage repair, installation, calibration, and predictive maintenance for electric, electronic, and pneumatic instruments while supervising the I/E group daily. Analyze complex engineering problems, perform power system studies, and review installation drawings for compliance. Develop maintenance KPIs, optimize energy consumption metrics, and oversee electrical distribution system planning using recognized industry standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering or scientific discipline
- 2 years experience
- Equivalent combination of education, training and 5 years related experience
- Expertise and proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
- Ability to read and comprehend work instructions, equipment manuals, safety procedures, electrical control diagrams, P&ID's and PLC programming logic
- Motivated
- Well organized
- Ability to plan/prioritize work
- Strong background in control systems and programmable logic controls (PLCs)
- Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs

Desired Qualifications
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD
- Preferred background would include a mining or mineral processing environment involving dry solids processing and handling
- Kiln and mill operational experience
- An understanding of ISO and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) as it relates to I/E functions
- Knowledgeable in National Fire Protection Association/National Electrical Code (NFPA/NEC) Standards, and IEEE/IES/API Standards
- Working experience in NFPA70E administration
