Job Summary
Design, engineer, and commission SCADA, DMS, and related automation solutions for electrical networks, including RTU/PLC communication and control room setups. Perform on-site installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of industrial systems while executing deliverables like control philosophy and HMI graphics. Manage industrial network connectivity, database configurations, and scripting tasks for plant historians. Collaborate with customers and field personnel to support operation, inspection, and maintenance of assigned applications.
Required Qualifications
- 2 to 5 years of experience in automation & SCADA solutions
- Extensive knowledge of SCADA databases
- Experience with Communications devices such as modems, Repeaters, GSM, GPRS, Gateway, Routers, Firewalls, Ethernet, and OFC
- Experience of communications protocols such as DNP3, IEC60870-5-101/104/IEC61850, MODBUS Serial and TCP-IP
- Experience with RTUs, IED, and PLC's systems
- Knowledge of selecting components used in RTU/Control cabinets like power supplies, UPS, batteries, GSM/GPRS/3G/4G Modems, Radio modems, interposing relays, MCBs, various types of terminals/connectors
- Adequate and advanced experience designing SCADA/DMS/ADMS/OMS systems
- Must have knowledge of PPC & MGC functionality
- Must have knowledge of relay coordination
- Diploma/bachelor's degree in Control Systems or Electronic/Electrical/CSE/IT Engineering or equivalent
- 2 to 5 years of experience developing SCADA and network solutions
- Prior experience with VMware, PowerShell, Shell Scripting, VBScript and Python
- Understanding of SQL, Mongo, Oracle & Pie databases
- Relay integration on IEC-61850 protocol
- Proficiency in communicating technical concepts both verbally and in written documentation
- ETAP requires all successful applicants to undergo and pass a comprehensive background check before they start employment
Desired Qualifications
- CCNA certification will be added advantage
- Applicable technical certifications preferred
- Experience monitoring enterprise systems and installing security applications
- Experience in scripting - Python/ C#/ C++/VB
- Experience in database configuration and stored procedure writing - SQL / any other DB
- Experience on delivering engineering deliverables like – Control Philosophy, FDS, FAT procedure, SAT Procedure, User Manual, Architecture & HMI Graphics Development etc
- Experience on establishing for Industrial Network Connectivity in OT Layer
- Experience on Router/managed switch/VLAN configuration with rules/policies
- Key responsibilities Hands on experience of executing SCADA-ADMS/Industrial/Solar projects
- Experience in PLC/RTU/RMU/FRTU connectivity
- Experience in implementing plant Historians and reporting tools
- Ability to work independently and handling customer interactions
- Outstanding verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to analyse the problem and provide solutions
- Help create Engineering work processes for development, testing and deployment
