Job Summary
Automation Engineer role as a subject matter expert in automation projects at an on-site Turnhout facility. Responsibilities include proposing, designing, prioritizing, conducting, and overseeing technical experiments and automation projects; developing new test methods and design of experiments; driving continuous improvements in growth, cost reduction, yield, product quality, and capacity; documenting project plans, timelines, and resources; presenting findings and recommendations to cross-functional leaders; and teaching/coaching team members while staying current on emerging technologies. Required skills include experience in process/controls/project engineering, knowledge of Siemens, Rockwell, PLC and SCADA systems, fluency in Dutch and English, strong analytical and communication abilities, and a track record of data-driven concepts and technical documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in a technical specialization, process engineering, controls engineering, or project engineering environment.
- Knowledge of Siemens, Rockwell, PLC and SCADA systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English.
- Strong technical background with deep knowledge of automation, technical principles, and engineering concepts.
- Demonstrated tracking of data findings, technical proof of concepts, and writing structured technical plans or reports.
