Job Summary
Automation & Electrical Systems Technician responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting automated manufacturing equipment, including PLCs, VFDs, servomotors, encoders, and electrical control systems. The role involves reading schematics/diagrams, performing preventive maintenance, ensuring electrical safety and compliance (lockout/tagout), and documenting methods of operation. Requires a High School diploma or GED and a Virginia Journeyman Electrician License (or equivalent), with hands-on experience in manufacturing environments. On-site in Henrico, VA with a rotating 12-hour shift and starting pay of $30/hour, with potential for higher compensation based on experience.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Virginia Journeyman Electrician License or equivalent
- Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems in manufacturing environments
- Experience troubleshooting PLCs, VFDs, electrical controls, and automated equipment
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work overtime when required
